Supportive Periodontal Care
At Perio & implant Dental Referral we embrace the evidence showing personalised SPC is critical to prevent tooth loss
All periodontal patients are assessed and stabilised under the care of the periodontists and dentists.
Sarah, our hygienist, supports the team in the management of the periodontal treatment provided and continues the supportive care needed to maximise the long-term outcome for your mouth.
At the end of the visit Sarah will supply you with a take home bag of oral hygiene aids specific to your needs along with a printed list of recommendations, relevant charts and other information.
The time allocated for your Supportive Periodontal Care appointments is based on your individual risk profile. The length and frequency of your visits will reflect the clinical findings at each visit

Bespoke Care Plan
Putting You First
The emphasis of each ‘Supportive Periodontal Care’ appointment is to provide you with the personalised information and the tools you will need to maximise your home care.
At each visit appropriate treatment will be provided with the support of a dental nurse. If necessary Ultrasonic and air polishing equipment will be used alongside conventional hand instruments. For your comfort, local anaesthesia may be provided, or treatment can be provided under sedation, if prearranged.
Meet Our Dental Hygienist
DENTAL HYGIENIST - GDC NO. 4965
SARAH has worked as a hygienist in the Richmond and Twickenham area for the last 20 years. The periodontists in the practice have previously worked with her in different locations and refer patients to her for maintenance care. We are therefore delighted that Sarah has agreed to join us at Perio and Implant Dental Referral to provide inhouse personalised care for our patients.

Our Implant Treatment Philosophy
The continuous growth in the demand for implant replacements can be attributed to their high success rates. This is supported by human clinical research, dating back 50 years, which demonstrates success rates in excess of 95%. Our own positive experience with patients over the last 20 years, confirms this.
Successful implants can provide you with natural looking and strong dental restorations for many years to come, even though the treatment can be time consuming. Some cases may take multiple stages to complete, but we believe that such measures, where necessary and when backed by clinical evidence, will give you a better chance of achieving your desired outcome.
As such, we have invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in acquiring the necessary skills, materials and equipment to give you the best possible experience. We use world-leading implant systems with robust research and systematic quality control. Such a comprehensive approach may sometimes result in an initially higher cost for you, to achieve the highest possible standard. We do, however, believe in giving patients optimal value for their hard earned money by using the best possible materials, equipment and service to provide you with a durable implant restoration, that will save you not only money but unnecessary pain in future. Patients who have undergone their implant journeys with us appreciate this time-honoured approach.
